3-D Printed Gun Creator Resigns After Arrest For Sexual Assault

According to ABC 13, Cody Wilson, owner of a TX company that sells plans for making 3-D printed guns, has resigned from his position there after being arrested on charges of having sex with an underage girl.

Paloma Heindorff with Defense Distributed confirmed today that Wilson has left the company to tend to "personal matters".  Heindorff is the director of development and will be taking over Wilson's leadership role at the company.

Wilson is accused of paying a 16-year-old girl for sex in Austin. He was brought back to the US over the weekend after his arrest in Taiwan.

Barred by a federal court from posting free printable gun blueprints online in August, Wilson announced he had begun selling them through his website.
