HEALTH AUTHORITIES: Texans Urged To Get Flu Vaccinations ASAP

(Austin, TX)  --  State health authorities are urging Texans to get their flu shots right now, before the flu virus begins its annual spread.  

The Texas Department of State Health Services says about ten-thousand Texas residents died of flu and pneumonia-related illnesses during the last flu season.  

The Texas flu season is at its peak between December and the end of February.
