VIDEO: Woman threatens Joint Base Andrews, Air Force One hanger

An investigation is underway after a woman driving an SUV claimed to have explosives at Joint Base Andrews refused to leave. The threat occurred Wednesday morning.

Authorities sent a robot that removed a package from the vehicle. An official in special gear inspected the vehicle, which appeared to have been cleared and was towed away shortly after 9:30 a.m.

The base is famous for the home of the President's travel airplane, Air Force One. The President happened to be scheduled to leave Joint Base Andrews today to go to North Carolina for a visit to areas affected by Hurricane Florence.

No injuries have been reported. Stay tuned in to Newsradio 740 for updates.
