RNC Chair Says Cruz And Other Candidates Need To Hit The Streets... Or Else

(Washington, DC)  --  Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel says Republican candidates must form bonds with voters ahead of the midterm elections in November.

On CBS' "Face The Nation," McDaniel urged candidates to hit the streets and engage with their communities.  She says candidates who think they're in safe districts are going to have to give everything.

She commented on Texas Senator Ted Cruz's race, ensuring the Republican Party will not lose Texas in November.

Sen. Cruz sounded off to TMZ about who the op-ed author could be...

Meanwhile, democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate Beto O'Rourke is making campaign appearances at central Texas college campuses.  Yesterday, O'Rourke spoke to hundreds of students in town halls at Texas State and later in College Station at Texas A&M.
