(Galveston, TX) -- A woman is dead after she was shot by Galveston police during a standoff. Officers were called to an area home last night to perform a well check, but the resident refused to open the door. She eventually came outside armed with a gun and was shot and killed.
Investigators discovered a wheelchair-bound woman inside the house, and believe the suspect had been holding her hostage.
