Poll Shows Hispanic Voters Favoring Valdez, O'Rourke... Worried for GOP?

(Houston, TX)  --  A new Telemundo Houston poll shows Hispanic voters prefer the Democratic candidates over Republicans in two key Texas races.  In the governor's race, Hispanic voters statewide favor Lupe Valdez over incumbent Greg Abbott by a 44-to-38-percent margin.

In Houston, the candidates are tied at 39-percent.  In the U.S. Senate race, Hispanic voters statewide prefer Beto O'Rourke 54-to-31-percent over incumbent Senator Ted Cruz.

Houston Hispanics favor O'Rourke by a narrower 45-to-40-percent.  In both races, the Libertarian candidate is in single digits, but the undecided percentage is in the teens, both statewide and locally.
