The job market is getting stronger for everyone, including ex-cons. Houston City Councilman Dwight Boykins is hosting a Second Chance Job Fair today from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the George R. Brown Convention Center, targeting convicted non-violent felons.
Future employment is not guaranteed, but a raffle will be held for new pickups filled with lawn equipment so job-seekers can start their own business.
It's not the only job fair targeted at a particular group. KTRH's Michael Berry is sponsoring the Hire 100 Veterans Job Fair next Wednesday and Thursday at the Redneck Country Club.
If you have dreams of travel in your life, Delta Airlines is hiring. The Atlanta-based carrier plans to hire a thousand new flight attendants in 2019.
Competition is tough. Last year Delta got more than 270-thousand applications for just 17-hundred flight attendant openings.
Interested applicants must be at least 21-years old with a high school diploma or GED. You also can't have any visible tattoos or exotic piercings.
