Salaries rise at fastest pace in years

There is more good news for the economy under President Trump. Salaries are going up at the fastest rate we have seen in just about a decade.

“We are basically at full employment now. We have more job openings than people looking for work,” economist Ray Perryman explained. “Companies are trying desperately to find workers. One way to find them is by paying more.”

And Perryman says you can expect this trend to continue for the foreseeable future.

“You’ll see it sustain for an ongoing basis for quite some time,” Perryman stated.

Salaries increased by 2.8% in the second quarter of this year. That’s the biggest increase we’ve seen in a quarter since the third quarter of 2008.
