We have talked a lot in the past about how the decreasing U S population may cause problems for future Social Security recipients. But a new Gallup Poll says there's a definite change in the air. Our perception of the size of the ideal family is inching away from 2 children to 3 or more kids partly because we perceive a new prosperity on its way... and the previous concept of millennials not being interested in having families might be a bit off target.
TSU Political Science and Law Professor Jay Aiyer says, “We might have been a bit off target thinking millennials weren’t interested in having children. It seems they do want families – but they may be older having those children than generations before. He even thinks the next years might just bring on a baby boom!
