POLL: Dramatic midterm campaign in full swing

If you think the drama that we have seen for the first 18 months of the Trump Administration is anything, you might want to buckle up.

The midterms are coming, and you can be sure there will be a lot more drama in the three months between now and Election Day.

There's a lot of excitement about this campaign, and it’s coming from both sides. The right wants to defend Trump’s policies and keep the country on the path the President currently has it on. The left is energized about defeating the Trump agenda and flipping Congress is something the left thinks will keep Trump in check.

And there is drama everywhere. It's not just the Russia investigation or what's happening at the border. Political analyst Jim McGrath says there is a lot more that's going on.

“You have North Korea in the mix. There are government shutdowns in the mix. That adds to the drama as we are in a very important midterm election cycle,” McGrath said.

Especially since that shutdown could come about a month away from Election Day. As for races that Texans will be voting in. McGrath expects less drama. That's despite the fact the mainstream media will try to sell you that Beto O'Rourke can upset Ted Cruz in their Senate race.

“There’s nothing yet to suggest in any data that you can see that O’Rourke will pull off an upset, other than in the wishful thinking of some media outlets,” McGrath stated.
