A body of a woman found dead near the Hardy Toll Road on Tuesday may be that of Rebecca Suhrheinrich, 58, who has been missing since at least Friday.
That's according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, who says its based on preliminary information.
Police went to West Hardy, south of Greens Road, where the body of a female was discovered.
"Still preliminary, but possibly the body of Rebecca Suhrheinrich, 58 years, who was reported missing," Gonzalez tweeted.
Homicide investigators had already said they suspected foul play in her disappearance -- because they found evidence of blood in her apartment, which is located in The Trails in the 200 block of Dominion Park.
Suhrheinrich did not show up for work on Friday and has been missing ever since.
Her apartment was found ransacked, with signs of what appeared to be a struggle. The Houston Police Department tracked down her car at a nearby apartment complex.
