GDP Makes Big Gains

The US economy grew by 4.1-percent in the second quarter, marking the fastest economic expansion in nearly four years according to the Commerce Department.

The Trump administration will likely promote the announcement as a strong indication that tax reform, deregulation, and his get-tough stance on trade are paying off.

 Republicans can also gain momentum heading into the midterm elections. They will hit the campaign trail during the summer recess to counter claims from Democrats that tax cuts only benefitted the wealthy
