(Houston, TX) -- Jim McIngvale, known to Houston as Mattress Mack, will be holding a prom night event for autistic kids. An organization called Success on the Spectrum is hosting the free sensory-friendly event on Thursday of this week.
Therapists will lead autistic children and their siblings in an evening of fun, games and dancing.
A DJ will play kid-friendly music at low volumes, and a calming station will also be available for kids who become overstimulated. The party starts at 5 p.m. at Gallery Furniture on the North Freeway.
