Valdez Demands Debate in Spanish

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Lupe Valdez is accepting an invitation to a second debate against Republican Governor Greg Abbott, if a couple of conditions are met.

Valdez says some of the questions must be in Spanish, and the debate can't be at the same time as Friday night football.

The second debate would meet both criteria.  It comes at the invitation of Houston's Univision and ABC affiliates, and is scheduled for Monday evening, October 8th, at U of H.

The first debate in Austin on Friday, September 28th, competes with high school football.
