The Harris County Sheriff's Office says its bomb squad has given the all-clear after responding to a suspicious-package call in the 4900 block of East Sam Houston Parkway.
There was no further incident.
A nearby church was evacuated and adjacent businesses were asked to shelter in place late Thursday morning. Those precautions been lifted.
Also, the northbound feeder road of the East Sam Houston Parkway, which was shut down briefly, has reopened.
