Texas Republicans are not happy with the Mueller investigation.
A new poll from U-T and the Texas Tribune shows 81% of state Republicans think the point of the investigation is to discredit President Trump. Ross Ramsey with the Texas Tribune told KTRH Trump’s base is solidly behind him
“Part of the reason they are there is because they support him, and part of it is because they oppose the same people that oppose him,” Ramsey explained.
Seventy-seven percent of Texas Democrats told the same poll they think the investigation is to simply investigate potential interference by a foreign country in the 2016 election, and while 67% of state Republicans disapprove of Mueller, 67% of state Democrats approve of the job he is doing.
