AMC to launch subscription movie service

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday), AMC is offering a loyalty program called "A-List-Tier".

AMC Theaters’ director of communications Ryan Noonan said they've added a VIP tier program to their AMC Stubbs Loyalty Program available tomorrow (Tuesday).

“Members can see all movies in all formats, at all AMC locations in the United States up to three times a week for $19.95 a month,” said Noonan. “Get on your phone, you sign up right there and you can start using it immediately. You don’t have to wait for the card. You don’t have to wait several weeks to get the program going. You sign up and you’re ready to go right away.”

He said this is something for their customers, not to compete with Movie Pass or Cinemark Movie Club

AMC is the biggest movie theater company in the world, claiming more than 8,300 screens in 2016.

benefits include:

·         see all three movies on the same day, just two hours in between each movie.

·         “premiere tier perks,” which include free upgrades on popcorn and soda, free popcorn refills, express service at concession lines and the box office, no online ticket fees, and point rewards.

·         book tickets online, in advance, including specific seats.
