Summer Heat Drives Snake Indoors

A Bee County family finds an unwelcome visitor in their bathroom.   A man says he found a five-foot blue indigo snake slithering out of his toilet, and nearly ran over his own son getting out of the room.

Deputies captured the snake and released it outside.

Officials say there has been an increase in snake calls this year because of the unseasonably warm weather.

The blue indigo is not venomous and actually eats poisonous snakes.
