It’s actually one of the biggest races in Texas this campaign cycle. But no one is talking about it.
That would be the Ted Cruz-Beto O'Rourke race for Senate. It is getting attention nationally, but not here at home. So what gives? Republican consultant Bill Miller tells KTRH Texans know something the mainstream media doesn't.
“It’s an indicator that it’s not as big of a race that people outside of Texas believe it is,” Miller said.
That said the race has gotten nasty, with Cruz going after O'Rourke over his mother's tax issues. It's something that wouldn't before Donald Trump got into politics.
“Then new norm is no norm. Anything goes,” Miller stated.
No Democrat in Texas has won a statewide race since 1994.
