LIVE VIDEO: 8-10 Dead In Santa Fe High School Shooting; Suspect In Custody

There are multiple reports eight people are dead following a shooting at a Santa Fe on the Texas Gulf Coast. 

The suspect in a deadly Texas Gulf Coast high school shooting is a student.  Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says the male student was arrested this morning and a second student is being detained as a person of interest.  Gonzalez says approximately eight-to-ten people were killed at Santa Fe High School with most of the deaths being students.  Students say a fire alarm went of before the shooting began. Medical chopper Life Flight as well as numerous law enforcement agencies from surrounding areas are have been on scene since the shooting broke at 8am Friday morning. The school was on lock down for at least an hour.

Authorities also searched for explosives which were discovered shortly after 11am this morning. 

Officials from multiple hospitals say a dozen people, including a cop, were hurt during the shooting at Santa Fe High School.  Approximately ten people were killed with most of them being students.  One student is in custody while a second is being questioned.

President Trump is expressing sadness and outrage after the nation's latest school shooting.  At the White House today, Trump called the shooting at a Texas Gulf Coast high school "horrific."  

He said the nation grieves for the terrible loss of life.  At least eioght-to-ten people are reported dead.  Trump said his administration is committed to keeping weapons out of the hands of those who should not have them.  

He argued that everyone in government must work together to keep children safe.
