Big mother is watching you!

Being a good parent to a teen with a cell phone is a big job. So many dangers lurk out there! Eric Cole, author of the book Online Danger says to first set rules of conduct for all of your kids’ social media including their phone. Then monitor all their accounts yourself and periodically take their phone from them to see if they are completely adhering to the boundaries you have set up.For even more peace of mind, you can even install a tracking app and know where they are. It will cut down on the calls asking, "so...where are you?"

Cole says, “You should create and keep the password for their phone’s app installation.  There are many apps that have ‘back doors’ so anyone can get into them and find out all about your kids or artificially pose as a friend of theirs and post all kinds of dangerous things.”

And if you want the peace of mind of knowing they are after school, install the free app Life 360 which allows you to track their location.
