Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty is giving away a free Colt AR-15 to patriots willing to defend the second amendment. It's in direct response to what the group calls "nanny-statists who want to ban it."
“It's to show people who support us and who are interested in our issues and our ideas we appreciate their interest and support, give them a little something extra which is a chance to win a gun,” says Norman Singleton, spokesperson for Campaign for Liberty.
“They know that the name Ron Paul stands for a strong principled commitment to limited government, the individual liberty to free markets, those are the ideals we try to uphold and we see this as a reflection of that.”
Singleton says there's been a lot of misinformation spread about what really is a popular and dependable hunting rifle.
“Quite frankly, I'm not interested in making people like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and their followers think that I'm reasonable,” he says. “I'm interested in protecting the liberty of believers in the Second Amendment.”
