POLL: Government overreach might hit your favorite pizza joint

We know the government has too much reach, and what they are about to do might just make your eyes pop out of your head. Put it this way, the federal government is about to regulate your pizza.

As of May 7th a new menu labeling rule requiring restaurants with 20 or more locations to post in-store menu calorie lists. That applies to places like Dominos and Pizza Hut. Economist Vance Ginn with the Texas Public Policy Foundation told KTRH the impact is going to be bigger than you think; on your wallet.

“That raises the cost for the business and raises the price for consumers,” Ginn stated.

So who do we have to thank for this new rule? Well, it goes back to the Affordable Care Act. So, thanks, Obama.

“This should be another one of those they just scrap altogether. Research shows that posting the calories doesn’t change people’s behavior,” Ginn explained, adding that this regulation was one that President Trump did postpone last year, but decided not to postpone again this year.
