Houston Astros’ star Jose Altuve will be with the team for quite a few years.
He just signed a contract extension through 2024 worth an estimated 151-milliondollars. The extension starts in 2020and is reportedly the richest in franchise history. Altuve has two years remaining on a four-year, 12.5-million dollar contract extension he signed in 2013.
Few players are more deserving of a big payday. The 27-year old Altuve is a five-time All-Star and has won four consecutive Silver Slugger awards. He also won his third batting title and was named the American League MVP in 2017.
