If you're wondering which cowboy to root for at the Rodeo this year, consider going with Neil Holmes.
KHOU 11 News has a great story on this bull rider from Cleveland, TX. During the Hurricane Harvey flooding, Holmes and some of his cowboy buddies got a boat and spent days rescuing people and animals in North Houston. He also does community outreach work with the Professional Bull Riders organization, teaching kids about our Western heritage.
This is likely the last rodeo for Neil Holmes. He plans to retire after this one, so it would nice to see the local hero go out a champion.
