BBQ Champs Rock Rodeo Prequel

TheHouston-based team was named Overall Grand Champion at the World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest at NRG Park.

 

Jamie Geer, a Fort Worth native who has been in the industry for 30 years, cooks for the team:

 

“This has been a fantastic experience… I am so honored and excited to win for the second time. Everybody is going to be in trouble because here I am, a second-time champion, and you bet we will becoming back next year!”

“BNR” also took home the top prize in the ribs competition.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo gets underwayin earnest on Tuesday night, when Garth Brooks hits the rotating stage.
