Today is National Plan for a Vacation Day. Doug Shupe, Spokesperson for AAA Texas, says over half of the workers in Houston don’t take any or all of their vacation. He says the main reason is a lack of planning.
“That’s why we have designated January 30th National Plan for a Vacation Day. If you start now, setting dates and a budget, you’ll be all ready by the time you take off.
Make lists of places you’d like to see, activities you’d like to do, events you want to take part in.
Check your work calendar and get the dates best for you to be out of the office.
Put them together with a budget and you’re on your way.”
Shupe also brought up that vacations are good for us, our careers and the economy! So don’t miss a day this year.
