Officials, Celebrities To Speak At L.A. Women's March

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Los Angeles Democratic officials and celebrities are advocating for women's rights this weekend in the second annual Women's March. The event takes place this morning downtown.

Dozens of actresses are expected to speak, including Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Viola Davis, Laverne Cox, Mila Kunis and Eva Longoria. Idina Menzel and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles with Melissa Etheridge are performing.

The event started last year just one day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. Its focus this year is to encourage women to vote, with registration booths on-site. Several women's marches are also happening across the nation today.
