(Galveston, TX) -- The City of Galveston is still dealing with water supply problems caused by this week's freezing temperatures. Local plumbers and city employees are working together to help island residents afflicted by ruptured water pipes.
The city says it won't bill customers for excess water use as a result of leaking pipes. The city's water supply is depleted to the point that city officials say "critical water shortage conditions" exist.
The city is asking residents and businesses to conserve water until the freeze-damaged pipes are fixed.
