Harvey Victims Speak Of Persistent Housing Difficulties

(Houston, TX)  --  A group of Harvey victims that has formed a coalition called "Houston Rising" is sounding off about its lingering housing needs.

Dozens of them gathered Thursday at Houston City Council chambers to attend a hearing of the Texas House of Representatives Urban Affairs Committee.

They spoke about the ongoing financial problems involved in repairing their homes or living for months in a hotel.  State Representative Carol Alvarado chaired the meeting and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner was in attendance.
