Watchdog group accuses broadcast TV of unprecedented bias

A conservative watchdog group accuses the three major broadcast TV networks of unprecedented bias against the White House in their coverage of Donald Trump.

Newsbusters tracks the reporting of ABC, NBC and CBS -- only stories from network staff, it says, and not the pronouncements of commentators, past or present administration officials, or others with inherent partisanship.

Curtis Houck, Newsbusters managing editor, says that just over 90 percent of the reporting was negative in stories airing in September, October and November.

He tells Newsradio 740 KTRH that the Obama administration “never saw” that kind of negative reporting from the mainstream broadcast outlets.

Houck says his group's study of news broadcasts in June, July and August found a similar score of 91 percent negativity by the major networks.
