Life from Outer Space

Is there life out there?

Mankind has asked that rhetorical question since the dawn of time, and though we’ve left footprints on the moon and explored deep into space, we still can’t say for sure.

But that’s not stopping most people from coming to their own conclusions.

A survey taken in 24 countries by 26,000 respondents finds 47% of people believe “in the existence of intelligent alien civilizations in the universe,” and 61% say they think there is life, even if not intelligent.  60% of human beings want to reach out and make contact with those alien lifeforms.

Russia has the most believers, followed by China and Mexico.  Holland has the fewest.

Researchers say it this fascination with life beyond our reach is what fuels our interest in science fiction stories and movies like “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
