A man died Tuesday from a shotgun wound at a gun range in Cypress.
It is being called an accidental shooting.
Harris County Sheriff's Office says a Hot Wells Shooting Range employee was cleaning a rifle inside the office building, when it fired.
The victim, 36, was reportedly struck by a bullet as he arrived at the gun range and got out of his car.
The first call was made at 9:13 a.m. Tuesday. Emergency responders were on the scene in northwest Harris County -- the Hot Wells Shooting Range, located of 24815 Northwest Freeway.
The shooting victim was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, reportedly with a head wound. His death was announced at 11:26 a.m. by the Harris County Sheriff's Office on its Twitter account.
Deputies are investigating.
