The Houston Texans have lost two in a row and are hoping to turn things around when they host the 2-10 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
The game marks the first game back for linebacker Brian Cushing, who was suspended ten games earlier this year for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Cushing says he feels bad about what went down.
“I felt terrible about it. I feel like a let a lot of the guys down. I feel like I let the fans down,” Cushing said this week.
As for how much playing time Cushing will get in his return, Coach Bill O’Brien says there’s no snap count for Cushing.
“I don’t think anybody is on a pitch count. We gotta find a way to win,” O’Brien stated.
It will be another game that sees Tom Savage start for the injured Deshaun Watson at quarterback. Savage continues to struggle with turnovers, but says his teammates have his back.
“We need to go out there and win. I’m confident in myself. I know I can play in this league. I know the team and staff has confidence in me so that’s all that matters,” Savage said on Wednesday.
Sunday’s kickoff is set for noon.
