You haven’t seen it in years here in Houston. But it fell overnight and it may be falling in some places this morning. And what is it that you haven’t seen?
Snow.
“I’m so excited. I can’t wait to get home and see all of my Christmas decorations covered in the snow,” one person said.
The last time we saw snow in Houston was February 23rd of 2010 when we got trace amounts, but the white stuff is definitely throwing people off.
“It’s been snow actually falling since 9:30 PM and it’s coming down fairly steady now,” one KTRH listener told our news tip line overnight.
You’ve been sending us your pictures, and in some northern spots, the snow is sticking.
“It’s snowing very hard in the Montgomery area,” another KTRH listener told us.
Bay City ISD is delaying the start to the school day on Friday due to the snow; all campuses will start at 10 am. Livingston ISD is on a 2 hour delay.
The last time we got significant snow in Houston was in December of 2009, when an inch of the white stuff stuck to the ground.
