We saw good Tom Savage against the Arizona Cardinals a week ago, and that gave Texans fans some hope he could turn his season around. But, the bad Tom Savage made his return to the Texans on Monday Night Football.
The Baltimore Ravens forced three turnovers, including two Savage interceptions, and held off the Texans 23-16.
Tom Savage threw for 252 yards for Houston, but was picked off twice and also lost a fumble. Lamar Miller ran for the Texans' only touchdown in the first quarter. Coach Bill O’Brien says the Texans were their own worst enemies last night.
“You’re not going to win any games when you turn the ball over. You’re just not going to win any games,” O’Brien said.
Javorius Allen and Alex Collins each had rushing touchdowns for Baltimore, which has won two straight and three of its last four games to improve to 6-and-5. Joe Flacco finished 20-of-32 for 141 yards in the win.
Houston has lost four of its last five games to fall to 4-and-7. They’ll visit Tennessee on Sunday.
