Can Congress beat the clock on tax reform?

Congress is trying to get tax reform done by their self-imposed deadline of Christmas. The Senate could vote on their version of the bill later this week.

But, the question is whether there are enough Republican votes in the Senate to do it. Some Republicans say they still need to be convinced. Money manager Bill Dendy says President Trump needs a big win, because he promised this to you.

“Having this completed would be a big win for the Republican Party,” Dendy stated.

That said, he's looked at the proposals, and isn’t sure he's totally in love with what he's seen.

“The majority of this tax bill is about cutting corporate taxes. Individual tax cuts are more of an afterthought,” Dendy stated.

That said, if the Republicans don't deliver tax reform, this could very well impact how things go in next year's midterms.
