Mattress Mack is doing it again, and doing what he always does; giving back to the Houston community that has given him so much.
Mack, who did so much in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, is hosting a Gather and Give Thanks lunch today from 10 this morning until 4 o'clock this afternoon at the North Freeway Gallery Furniture location. Mack is all stocked up with 5,000 pounds of turkey and ham. He also has 625 pounds of sweet potatoes and 900 pies, because he knows a lot of you are going to come by.
“We are expecting 10,000 people, as we give thanks to all the great people for helping us all get through Hurricane Harvey,” Mack told Houston’s Morning News on KTRH
But Mack is also looking for help; specifically volunteers.
“Volunteers can arrive at 7 o’clock or at noon or whenever time. We’ll be here from seven in the morning until 4 or 5 in the afternoon” Mack said.
