Apple Issued Search Warrants For Church Shooter's Phone

(Sutherland Springs, TX) -- A search warrant from the Texas Rangers seeks information from Apple about the contents of the church shooter's phone.

Officers investigating the deadly shooting in Sutherland Springs want access to whatever photos, messages and data may be in the iPhone found with gunman Devin Kelley after he killed himself.

So far, investigators haven't been able to defeat the phone's encryption. Apple has failed to cooperate with the FBI in the past over encrypted devices, claiming concern over protecting the privacy of its customers.
