Raises aren’t coming as much as you’d think

Many of you may not be benefitting from the improving economy.

According to a new survey, 52% of you have not gotten a raise over the last year. But that’s a national survey. So what’s happening here in Texas?

Texas Public Policy Foundation Economist Vance Ginn tells KTRH the story in the Lone Star State may very well be different.

“The trends that we have seen in Texas have been stronger than the national average. The unemployment rate here is now at 4%,” Ginn explained.

The survey also showed that 64% of workers over the age of 53 did not get a raise over the last 12 months.
