Two people were injured and treated at a hospital following an explosion and contained electrical fire in Houston.
Flames broke out Friday afternoon at the Whitehall Hotel along Smith, near Pease, in the downtown area.
The explosion and exterior fire resulted from work being down to an electrical box.
There was smoke damage to the hotel's facade. People were evacuated and several blocks were closed to traffic in the aftermath.
Both of the injured people are hotel employees.
CenterPoint Energy was dispatched to take over the repair work and restore power.
