Houston Texans owner Bob McNair may soon be honored in bronze.
The Harris County Sports and Convention Corportation voted Wednesday to conduct a feasibility study to build a statue to McNair in NRG Park.
McNair is credited with bringing NFL football back to Houston in 2002, after the Oilers left for Tennessee in 1997 and became the Titans.
No public money would be used to create the statue, but there are no guidelines for placing a monument like that on public land.
