A Dickinson High School student was arrested Tuesday after coming to school with an unloaded gun.
No one was injured.
Another student reported to an administrator that he had the gun, and the administrator called the school liaison officer, according to the school district.
The student carrying the gun was removed from class and arrested. Classes were not interrupted.
"Dickinson High School administrators and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office liaison officers handled the situation quickly to ensure the safety of all students and staff," Tammy Dowdy, director of communications for the Dickinson ISD, said in a statement Tuesday.
