iWalk for Animals Benefits Harvey's Pet Victims

Fetch your sneakers and your furry friend to join more than 1,000 walkers at the seventh annual iWalk For Animals at Memorial Park’s Picnic Loop from 8-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, to support the efforts of the Houston SPCA.

There will be free microchipping for the first 200 pets impacted by Harvey on a first-come, first-served basis, 5K Canine Caper and 1K Pup Strut, special demonstrations, music and food trucks.

The pet-related contests will include Best Kisser, Best Costume and Pet/Owner Look-A-Like.

The even will raise funds to support the Houston SPCA’s lifesaving programs and services.

The dog-walking celebration is free. Festivalgoers can create their own fundraising page benefitting the Houston SPCA to share with friends and family by visiting www.iwalkforanimals.org.
