Pilot program with Amazon as delivery service

First, Amazon changed retail sales at brick and mortar stores. Now, there's a pilot program for free two-day delivery service.

Amazon could still use UPS, Fed Ex, or the postal service...or in the future, maybe themselves. Steve Gaut with UPS said as Amazon grows, so will other delivery systems.

“UPS views Amazon as a valued customer. We’ve been serving Amazon for many years in a variety of capacities. Many of our customers have some level of their own shipping services,” said Gaut.

Amazon won't confirm if they're trying out a pilot program for free two-day delivery service.

In a statement to KTRH, Amazon said, "we are using the same carrier partners to offer this program that we’ve used for years, including UPS, USPS and FedEx.”

Gaut said they continue to grow on both the e-commerce side, as well as international logistics and transportation businesses.

“We serve all of our customers with state of the art strategies and tools to be successful . We recognize that when they’re successful, we’re successful,” said Gaut.
