VIDEO: Houstonians struggle with storm trash removal

Debris from 126,000 homes still line the streets of Houston, though you may not see them. Devastated parts of the city in the nation's fourth largest city.

Houston officials are still working to gather private contractor and more wasted disposal trucks for emergency trash removal. So far, trash haulers from Houston, Austin and San Antonio are joining in on the effort.

So how much needs to be picked up? Thursday, the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott estimated around "enough to fill a football stadium about 125 times."

Around 300 trucks are picking-up around Houston and the surrounding areas according to DRC Emergency Services LLC, the city's contractor for emergency debris removal. Two-hundred more trucks are expected to join the effort in coming days. Though the city is negotiating new contracts to speed up the process.
