Houston Texans Welcome Fans to NRG Stadium

While many Houstonians are still focused on cleaning up the mess from Hurricane Harvey, the Houston Texans are offering a welcome break.

It’s still Week One of the NFL season, and the Texans will be in action this afternoon against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  The crowd at NRG stadium is expected to be the largest gathering of Houstonians since Hurricane Harvey made landfall two weeks ago.

Much of the team’s attention has been focused on off-the-field issues related to hurricane relief, but on the field they are trying to improve on three straight 9-7 seasons.  They are also back-to-back winners of the AFC South Division but they have never advanced beyond the divisional playoffs.

The Texans have a six-game winning streak against the Jaguars, the longest against any opponent in team history.  Kickoff is at noon.
