Colorado County, the City of Eagle Lake, and the City of Columbus have issued voluntary evacuations due to the threat from flooding.
In the county, voluntary evacuations were called for properties adjacent to and along the Colorado River.
The two cities suggested residents leave flood-prone areas.
The Veterans Hall, 305 Park Drive, Wiemar, was designated as a shelter.
Officials suggested those who need transportation contact the county or their respective city.
Meanwhile, Lake Jackson Mayor Joe Rinehart has issued a voluntary evacuation notice for the Northwood subdivision in that city.
