The World wants to move to Texas

Vicki Fullerton, chair of the board of the Texas Association of Realtors, says "I see an ever growing Asian migration to Texas; we're already strong in South America and Mexico with 40% of the sales coming from that part of the world and 39% coming from the Asian rim."

Fullerton says there are a lot of good reasons.

"Texas' low unemployment rate; our diverse industry base and our world class higher education system."

Texas now trails only Florida in the amount of foreign home purchases.

"We moved from the number four slot in the nation to number two in international purchases, right behind Florida -- and ahead of California!"

Fullerton says most of the purchases are from Mexico, South America and Asia. Fullerton says the trend is likely to continue because she expects a lot more Asian buyers.
