Choose Your Own Grade

If some Georgia college students are the leaders of tomorrow, the future is bleak. A University of Georgia business professor is allowing his students to select their own grades if they "feel unduly stressed" by their actual grades.

Texas education expert Jean Burk is horrified.

"We're raising a bunch of emotionally unstable kids that are gonna be leaders some day? Wow."

Burk says if the kids can't handle the stress of the classroom they're really not gonna like the real world.

"It's scary, absolutely; I mean I don't know what world they live in, but that's not the world I live in and guess what? Reality is, sometimes you don't get the grade, sometimes you don't get the girl, sometimes you don't get the job."

Burk says the parents of these students need to step up and help their children.

"Parents need to wake up and realize, guess what? You're not your kids' friends, you're their parents and your job is to support them and love them and encourage them but not create a world that is free from harm or germs."

For presentations made in the classroom the professor will only allow positive comments.
